Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Piamo (“Piamo”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Piamo app for iPhone. Piamo is made by Pixeldea, based in British Columbia, Canada.
The short version
Piamo has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your learning progress stays on your iPhone. We only handle what is needed to run your subscription.
1. Information stored on your device
The following stays on your device and is never sent to us:
- the name you enter during onboarding
- your song stars, XP, coins, streaks and practice scores
- your app settings (for example, haptic feedback)
You can erase this data at any time with Profile → Reset progress, or by deleting the app.
2. Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment card details or your Apple ID password.
To manage subscriptions we use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com). RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID
- your purchase and subscription status and transaction history
- basic technical information such as device model, iOS version, app version, country/store region and IP address
We do not send RevenueCat your name, email address or progress data. RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf to confirm your subscription. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
3. Piano sounds
On first launch, Piamo downloads its piano sound samples from a public library hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any web request, the host can see your IP address and basic request information. No personal information is sent with these requests.
4. Contacting support
If you contact us at [email protected], or with Help & support → Send message, your email is sent from your own email app. The message includes the name and plan shown in the app, which you can edit before sending. We use your email only to answer you, and we keep it only as long as needed to help you.
5. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your information.
- We don’t show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We don’t use analytics or tracking tools.
- We don’t access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
6. Children
Piamo is suitable for learners of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Progress data never leaves the device, and purchases are handled by Apple, including Ask to Buy for family accounts.
7. Data retention and your rights
Data on your device stays until you reset or delete the app. Subscription records held by RevenueCat and Apple are kept as required to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete information about you. Because Piamo does not hold accounts, most data exists only on your device. For requests about subscription records, email [email protected].
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and the version shown in the app.
